November 6th, 2017

Hey Y'all  On Tuesday we hung out with the new zone, played soccer chair, talked and emailed. For dinner, we went to the Jamul Meat Market where we got burritos called "The Monster" which is the size of my companion's arm! Because it's Halloween, we've been asked to stay inside so we chilled with the people in our complex for the evening. Wednesday, while my companions went to the doctor's office, I stayed with the Arabic Elders to go help our neighbor with their wifi modem, so that's cool. I stayed with them for the morning and had a lesson in Arabic, so that was fun to observe. We came back to the flat and had our studies then we went to the Mormon Battalion with an investigator and had lunch with him. We also took a walk around Old Town.  We had 3 appointments today and all of them went great! We went to mutual and played games with the young men and did some stuff at the church. On Thursday, we did our morning things and went to the church to do w...

Oct 31st, 2017 - Happy Halloween and Transfers Day!

Hello everyone,  I made it through a transfer! It feels like I've been here FOREVER!!!!! 6 weeks down 6 more to go with the 12-week program. Tuesday afternoon we went to go to the office and went down to the beach and played sand 2-hand touch rugby so that was fun. It's so weird driving down in Coronado and looking at all these shops and remembering going to them when Blake got married. There was also the beach where my cousin Austin got stung by a stingray on the day of the wedding. We then had dinner at In-N-Out, the true California restaurant. For the rest of the evening we went out to find some people. We talked to a potential investigator who said, "where's your church because I want to come" and we're like, ya for sure we will tell you that!  After, we went to talk to a member about how things are going and checked up on them. Wednesday, we did our morning things and went to make an emergency exchange for a funeral. Then, we went to find some less-ac...

Oct 24th, 2017 - As Big As My Face

Hello y'all!  Tuesday afternoon, we were at the mission office and doing some stuff there and then went shopping. We went out to lunch and the Cali burrito was the size of my head! We then went to the Santee ward building with the other missionaries and played basketball and other games. After that, we came back to the flat and got ready for the evening. We picked up a priest to come with us to visit some members at the care center facility and then met with a potential investigator named Loghman who became a Christian a couple of years ago and wants answers.  Wednesday, we got some stuff done then went to the Arabic's flat and had some lunch with them, it was so good! After that, we went to the church to get more stuff done - but then found out the LDS internet is down for now. So that made some stuff that we're trying to get done difficult. We had 4 appointments but 2 of them fell through so we went and finished weekly planning until dinner and then went to our last...

Oct 17th, 2017 - What a busy and super hot week!

I forgot to mention from my last week's email that Christian Drews (#37) for Utah Utes, had a great game and season. Hope Christian heals up soon!  Also SHOUT OUT to Blake - it was his birthday this past Sunday!! So, happy birthday Blake and hope that you had a great day.  And shout-out to James, Shantel, Jadie, and Holland for sending me a package. Thank you! On Tuesday evening we just chilled, went shopping, got my tiwi card so now I can drive. Then, we visited or followed up on some investigators and to how they're doing. We also visited some less-active members. Then, I made an exchange with the assistant to the president (AP), Elder Easter from London, UK.  On Wednesday, I was with one of the APs for the day, Elder Ellis from Logan. We got ready and we went over to the President's house to discuss the zone conference that's going to be happening next week. We then picked up the Arabic Elders and went to the mission office to exchange cars and do paperwork stuf...
