Two Asian Elders and One Big City - 3/13/18

Tuesday, we exchange with Del Norte and went to the transfer meeting spot in Mission Valley. Then I got with my new-old compaion, Elder Chen and went to the place where we live to unpack. We live at a members home and it's both of us first time to live in a members home and white-wash an area. We went to lunch with one of my friends from bountiful, Cameron Auernig, Maddy Pettit and their friends from USU. Then we went shopping and finished unpacking and went to the church to play some sports and email. Then we met the older couple member who we live with and visted the bishop of the ward for the English and Mandarin branch since we are attending both. In my district, we have 6 Mormon Battalion Sisters, 3 YSA Sisters and 4 Elders including Elder Chen and I. Wednsday, we went to some flat complex to give a baptismal interview for the YSA Sisters. Then we had lunch and did language study. And Elder Chen did some MyPlan and did some finding until dinner with Sister Speed. Then we went to a Mormon Battalion to meet up with the Mandarin Sisters to have correlation with the ward mission leader for the Chinese branch and had call-ins. Thursday, we had DLC with the zone leaders and we went to the library for Elder Chen to do MyPlan. Then we did some language study and did service for a lady in the ward who wants us to call her grandma and she feed us lunch. Then we changed and did some finding and also went up to the temple grounds to do finding there. Then we went to a pass-off-lesson with the Mandarin Sisters and they're going to have us teach him. Friday, we tried a potential who's only available in the mornings. Then we went to do language study and do weekly planning and have lunch. Then we did some finding and had a lesson in Chinglish with an investigator who attends UCSD. We went to Johnny Rockets for dinner and tried a few more people before we headed to a correlating meeting for the UC 2nd ward. We worked on preparing for district meeting and we're talking about the women at the well and how "Jacob's well" relates to the world and "Jesus's well" relates to Christ himself and the gospel and how we can help bring others to "Christ's well". And also talk about we can apply this principle to ourselves, compaions members, etc... Saturday, we did some last minute touches on our training and went to a baptism for the YSA Sisters. Then we went to got some lunch and had district meeting. We went up to Mira Mesa since we have some members and investigators from the Chinese branch so we spent the rest of the day there. We did some finding and we talked to a member and he said stay for dinner so we did. We went to a Taiwanese hotpot place and it was super delicious! Throughout the day it was raining and I notice that our Corolla sucks in rain because it was literally hydroplaning every 2 seconds. The car couldn't get traction and it was kinda sketchy but kinda fun. Sunday, we went to ward council for the UC 2nd ward and had church. Then helped a member clean up trash at her work. She works at SDSU so we were cleaning on the campus and feed us lunch afterwards. Then we went to ward council for the Mandarin Group and had church. We had a potluck dinner after church for the Mandarin Group and had dinner with the Hobbs. Then we had a pass-off lesson with the Mandarin Sisters with a less-active member and had call-ins. Monday, we did some service at a food bank and they gave us a lot of food too. Then we did our studies and went to 2 different parks and the temple grounds to do some street contacting. Then we had dinner with the Bergs and had a ward correlation and had a lesson with a less-active member in the Chinese Group.
