Kisses By a Member - 3/27/18

Tuesday, we did our laundry and went shopping. Then we came back to the flat to change and put stuff away and dropped off our car at the shop to get 4 new tires and a oil change. The zone leaders picked us up and went to Sea World! I haven't been to Sea World since Blake and Kenzie's wedding. We had a blast at Sea World! Our mission president gave us permission to ride the rides too! Then we went to the mission office to get mail and needs. Then we went to pick up the car and got ready for the evening. We had an interesting but good lesson with a less-active member and went to Balboa Park to do some finding and played badminton while finding too! By the way, I'm pretty terrible at badminton but it's fun and pretty intense. Wednsday, we did our studies and Elder Chen did MyPlan and had lunch. Then we did some finding until dinner with the Speeds. We visted a few members in the ward and did call-ins. Thursday, we had district meeting and lunch. Then we did language study and weekly planning. Then we did some finding and went to do some street contacting by the beach for the rest of the evening. Friday, we did our studies and did some finding. Then we had a really good lesson with a potential investigator who's now a new investigator and a progressing investigator with a baptismal date for the 14th of April!! She is SO PREPARED. She has already read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it for herself and she came that it's true and already has read Doctrine and Covenants and JSH and already knows that she needs to be baptize!! Then we went to Mira Mesa to try a few people and then to Balboa and Mission Bay Park to do some street contacting. While we were at Mission Bay area, I accidentaly took the wrong turn so we took the scenic route which took like 10mins to go all the way around the bay. Then we had dinner with our ward mission leader for the Chinese Group and we made food for the international potluck for tomorrow evening. And the ward mission leader for the Chinese Group is a car designer and he helped designed the new Rolls Royce! Saturday, we moved for a lady's daughter in the Mandarin Group and it took about 5hrs and she took us out to lunch at a Chinese restaurant which was super delicious especially 叉烧包 and it reminded me of driving to the 7-Elevan shop to get them with a cold glass of redbull. Then we went to the Chinese WML to pick up the soup we made and brought it to the international potluck dinner. It was a great turnout and our Mandarin investigator Yves came too! Sunday, we went to the English ward and had church. Then we picked up a TON of food from a Sister in our English ward and had lunch with her too. We went to the Mandarin Group and had church and after we had a potluck. One of the older members in the Mandarin Group gave Elder Chen and I a hug and a kiss on the cheek, so I guess I can say I've been kissed on my mission. We went to the hospital to give a member from Ventura the sacrament and a priesthood blessing. I'm grateful for that opportunity and the way the Lord put me in her path to be able to do that for her. We prepared for call-ins and had call-ins. Monday, we did our weekly service for the food bank with the zone leaders which is always fun. Then we went to Pilkingtons and helped them bring some stuff to their car and they fed us lunch. We did our studies and went to the UCSD campus to have a correlation meeting at the BioMed library with our WML for the English ward. Then we did some finding until dinner with the Nelsons and had a lesson with a less-active member in the Mandarin Group.
