Transfer Day and Births - 1/23/18
Well a few of things I have to start out with, one shout-out to Kenzie because her birthday was this past Friday, so Happy Birthday!! And second off, please pray for the Welches' granddaughter who's in the NICU. And third off, Paige and Katja had their sons on Monday the 22nd. And Paige's son was born at 4:20, haha. Tuesday, for the rest of the day we went to get messages and go shopping. Then we had lunch with our ward mission leader and zone sports. Now today in zone sports was, let's just say it was very intense. We played volleyball and chair futbol and my team won every single game and with topping of that W's since winning isn't everything but I came out at the end of the day with bruises all over, took like 25 shots to the chest and face and stomach and my feet hurting. Plus the mission President gave us an extra hour for p-day. Then we had a very good lesson with an investigator who has a baptismal date set. Wednsday, we did lots of finding and had a few lessons with some investigators but they all fell through. We worked on stake packets and had dinner with Arabic. Then we went to mutual and went to do some finding. Thursday, we went to a less-active member and investigator's house to do some service and help them move into another house before we had flat inspections and lunch. Then we went back to do more service and then had a little bit of weekly planning until we left for dinner and then did some more finding, contacted some referrals and try to see some investigators. To finish the evening, we finished weekly planning. Friday, we had Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and went to do more service for the same people as yesterday and had breakfast round 2 with them at McDonald's and then we left for district meeting and had lunch. Then we finished weekly planning and gave a blessing to a less-active who isn't feeling to well and had dinner at an all you can eat Chinese buffet with the same people we been doing service for. Then we tried to see a few investigators and ended the night with a good lesson and setting him a baptismal date for the 17th of Feb. Saturday, we went to a breakfast at a members house and then my compaion Elder Kjar who isn't feeling to well so we did an exchange with the Arabic Elders and had a lesson with an investigator. Then we exchange with Spanish Elders to go to the Presidents house because one of the Spanish Elders needed to talk to him then we went to a member baptism. Then we went to a lesson but he stood us up so we went to try some referrals and gave a blessing to a member who's having a little hard time and got hungry so we grabbed a little something from Starbucks and went back home. Elder Kjar got a call from President saying that if he would like to be an Arabic Missioinary and he took that calling in a heartbeat. So now he is one of the 5 Arabic Missionaries in the world who have been called by God. Sunday, my compaion wasn't feeling well so we stayed in all day. We slept, played games and watched some movies. The bishop's family made us dinner and dropped it by so that was nice of them. Monday, we had our last district sports and breakfast together since tomorrow is Transfer Day. I found out that I'm leaving and I'm going to Lake Hodges/Rancho Bernardo. It reminds me of moving because every place I go is going to be different and an adventure. I loved El Cajon area but I know that I'll love Lake Hodges/Rancho Bernardo. Then we went to have a good lesson with an investigator and I started washing my clothes and packing. Then we went to try some referrals and had another good lesson with an investigator who should be baptized already! We went to see a few members and less-actives and then came back to the flat to finish packing. Tuesday, we went to G-Hills to meet up and exchange with a few Elders who are going to the transfer meet up place in Mission Valley.
