Farewell, President Thomas S. Monson - 1/16/18

Hey y'all,  

Tuesday, for the rest of the day we went to the mall to shop and get massages. Then we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and spent a couple of hours at the comic store. Then cleaned the car for tomorrow since it's zone conference. We went to the church to finish emailing and play ball. We had 2 lessons and one of them fell through but the other lesson was great and then we did some finding in the pouring rain. Wednsday, we had zone conference and that lasted FOREVERRR. Then we went to the church to have a chapel tour for an investigator Mike and it was a neat and spiritual experience. We had dinner at the Shoemakers house and went to mutual. For the rest of the evening we went to try some referrals. Thursday, it was one of the Elders in my district birthday so we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and went to a lesson that went well. We did some finding and had dinner with the Dunns. Then we went to the Lost and Found meeting and then we balled it up with an investigator and just talk and have fun. Friday, we went to Tom's house to watch the sweet, wonderful funeral service for Thomas S Monson and had lunch. Then we went to the church to do weekly planning and went to birthday get together dinner for someone in the ward. Then we made some brownies and gave it to an investigator who's having a little hard time and visited her. Saturday, we did lots of finding today and tried to see a few investigators and had dinner with Tom and G-Hills. We visited a few people later that evening. Sunday, we had a lil mini coordination before ward council and had church and my compaion and I gave a lesson in primary and of course we had snacks so I was happy. Then we had a ward coordination meeting with the auxiliaries presidency after church and did home-bounds. We went to have a late lunch with the Leas and had a lesson with an investigator but that fell through. For the rest of the day we went to do some finding. Monday, we had back to back service for someone in the ward and other person we met on the street a few days ago. Then we went to the church to pick up one of the priest in the ward to help us in a lesson and go do some finding. Then we had lunch and went to do "sum mo" finding until we had dinner with the Jouberts. We tried to visit some investigators and see how they're doing and when we could meet up since some of them have been cancelling on us a couple of times. Tuesday, we had breakfast as a district while watching the Message from President Russell Nelson of the quorum of the twelve. The new First Presidency of the church are Russell M Nelson as President of the church, Dallin. H Oaks as the First Counselor and Henry B Eyring as the Second Counselor. What a great opportunity that these men have to take the new role as a direction to the church.

Tuesday, we did our laundry and went shopping. Then we came back to the flat to change and put stuff away and dropped off our car at the shop to get 4 new tires and a oil change. The zone leaders picked us up and went to Sea World! I haven't been to Sea World since Blake and Kenzie's wedding. We had a blast at Sea World! Our mission president gave us permission to ride the rides too! Then we went to the mission office to get mail and needs. Then we went to pick up the car and got ready for the evening. We had an interesting but good lesson with a less-active member and went to Balboa Park to do some finding and played badminton while finding too! By the way, I'm pretty terrible at badminton but it's fun and pretty intense. Wednsday, we did our studies and Elder Chen did MyPlan and had lunch. Almost Got Towed - 2/27/18

 Tuesday, for the rest of the day, we went to the temple and got some lunch. We had a multi-zone sports day so that was fun! Then we did some prep for the baptism for this Saturday. Wednesday, we cleaned our place up for inspections tomorrow morning. Then we did some service for someone in the ward and did some finding. Then we did some finding until dinner with the Krauses and visited a few families in the wards. We got a tow notice thing on our car. Then had a district video conference call. Thursday, we cleaned up our place before we got our flat inspected. Then we had a lesson with a part-member family but that fell through so we contacted a few people. We got another tow notice thing today. Then we had dinner with the Paynes and two good lesson in the evening. Friday, we did some service for someone who's right now a potential and then had district lunch and meeting. Then we went to dinner at the Trepeniers and visited a family. New Language, District Leader, White Wash, Opd Companion (Elder Chen), Same Me - 3/6/18

 Tuesday, we did some laundry and went shopping. Then we went to the church to have multi-zone sports and had dinner. Then we tried some referrals and less-actives. Wednsday, we went to see a less-active who is in EMT training and needed to take our vials and had back-to-back service with a member and a former-investigator. Then we visited a few investigators and had dinner with Rosa who's a less-active member and had LH correlation. Thursday, we went to have lunch with the Del Norte elders at an all you can eat buffett and had weekly planning, writing a draft email to our DL to fix the issue with one of our ward mission leaders because he's a hypocrite and told us that we're not doing a good job, comparing us to the missionaries in Boston and he's not supportive. And that's pretty much the nicest way of putting it. And we worked on stake packets and visted a few investigators and did some finding.
