It's crazy to think how my time at the MTC went by so fast and now I'm in San Diego! Let's first go back to my last days in the MTC, Thursday the 14th was my last p-day and I got a haircut and did my laundry. We pretty much just relaxed for the rest of the day and played games and played some rugby. Friday, we had our last in-field orientation!! We also had TRCs which my companion and I taught Rodrigo repentance and he wants to change and get baptized!!!!! So that was awesome to hear and see that he wants to change. As usual, we have classes. The weather was so nice that day because it was in the 50s and it felt great! It was pretty cool and kinda windy which is my kind of weather when you're in church clothes all the time.
It was crazy how the new missionaries were asking my companion and me how to teach people better and become better teachers because we've been here for about 3 weeks. They are really looking up to us to be an example. Saturday, we taught our last TRCs and it was a great experience. It's a good way to quickly teach the gospel effectively. What a shock, we had more classes. One of the elders in my district wanted to carry me on his back from the top of the building of T-4 which is the 6th floor to our dorms which is about a quarter of a mile and we made it all the way. We also had a tie swap in our district and I got elder Corey Newman's tie.
It was our last Sunday in the MTC and it was great! We had church and went to class. We had a singing hour and it was actually fun even though I'm terrible at singing. We had more classes and a departing devotional and a regular devotional by President Livingstone who is the Provo Temple President. He talked about how diligence and faithfulness will help you through your mission and lifetime. We also said goodbye to 5 Elders in our district who are heading off to Scottsdale, Arizona on Monday morning the 18th.
Tuesday felt like a p-day because we didn't do a whole lot of things, we did more p-day stuff like laundry, clean, etc.... Tuesday, we got up at 3:30am. We were stuck at the airport for 3 hours!!! It was nice talking to everyone and also seeing the Mayfields! We got to the mission home around 10:30am and we're still here. The mission president and his wife are pretty cool. Thank you for the letters y'all sent me and I could feel your love and support for me.
